A lot of bass players like to use a Big Muff Pi to get some distortion in their sound.

Cool, I never knew that.  I use it for guitar and keyboards, works phenomenally for those too!

Yeah, it's a good bass distortion.  Lately I've been into a Guyatone TZ-1 with the volume at 12:00 and the drive at 9:00, fed into a Nick greer Gold Nugget with the tone and drive maxed and the volume set for unity gain.  HUGE.

1974 model t w/ a 1984? 215b loaded with EV DL15ST speakers:




Sometimes it's used in conjunction with a Plush 2X15 loaded with JBLs...puts out crazy sound at 2 ohms! :roll:
