: The svt is a great amp of course but the 300T, in my opinion, is better. If you are playing hard rock, I would say the sunn is better. You really have to try it for yourself.

: I have a 300T. As far as features, the differences are: the Sunn has two channels and dual spilt band compression.
I believe it was designed by the same cat who was chief engineer on the original SVT. The bottom is about the same
(huge), I believe the midrange is more open sounding on the Sunn.
So it boils down to features, tone, and your personal taste. I have two 410H cabs, but usually can only use one,
it just overwhelms the band if I do, even with the master vol 3-4, vol 3-4. Life is good! So I only use one cab,
 it just rocks the casbah.

: Also, I forgot to mention, the Sunn has a 3 button footswitch for
channel, eq , and compression. I think it has a great appearance, and
there is obviously plenty of ventilation to cool all those tubes.
By the way, the new Sunn products get little or no attention here, it
is mostly the older stuff that is discussed. And that's great, but it
would be nice to see more support from the loyalists for the new Sunn
products, as they are really special. Just my two cents.

I tried both out before I bought the Sunn. "more features" in this case being a dubious advantage, ie. the Sunn compressor is awful..I don't like or use the "distortion" (Black Cat Brassmaster for that)..BUT:

The 300T SOUNDS better than any non tweaked svt you can buy off the shelf. I had a beautiful '72 svt head that was nicer, but only after a lot of attention by a tube tech/guru.

Just having bought a 300T and having just sold my boutique Ashdown, I gotta say I tried them both an SVT CL and the 300T, without question the 300T kicked the SVT's ass, not so much in sound or tone, although I did think that the 300T had a better mid, and really bright but tight sound when I play my rickenbacker through it, but the offering of a second channel... good lord its the best sounding overdrive I have ever heard, no pedal can come close, cept maybe the buddah bass distortion, but to not have to lug that around is very cool. Plus you can get some neat effect with the built in compression when you are playing live.

I gotta say compare all that, not to mention the 300T I bought new was about $100 bones less that the SVT CL, it wins hands down.  Looks much cooler too.
