Concert Bass and Beta Lead head size
« on: January 24, 2007, 12:55:07 pm »
I was looking at a Concert Bass head on eBay today, and I noticed it has the same 4-screw arrangement that holds it into the wooden shell.   Are the heads the same size that I could (conceivably) put the concert bass head into my Beta combo?  I play keyboards with the Beta sometimes and I want a bass head to play with, but I don't want to lug a separate cab around.

Rick,

Measure it.

My concert has mounting holes 12" center to center along the width of the head, and 8 1/2" from front to back.

22 1/2" wide by 4 3/4" high is the size of the chassis in the case, but since the concert head is "open" on the bottom you might want to add slightly to that for the height of the heads of the screws that protrude through the bottom.

The depth of the chassis - front to back, not counting the knobs in front or the heat sink in back is 9".

Awesome, thanks for the measurements Joe.

I'll let you know tomorrow, I'm not with the amp at the moment.
