1976 Model T Value
« on: February 08, 2007, 08:05:53 am »
Saw one for sale in "very good condition" and the person wants a reasonable offer. It's got Gold Aero 6550's. What would be a good offer? Thanks!

I guess I shuldn't tell you that I got mine for $300.

It may be unique. It's second generation, with the selectable mid, but doesn't have any red on it. Not on the knobs, not on the logo.

I got it when a friend's mother declared bankruptcy. Lawyers were looking for anyone who owed her money, and she had made him a loan which he had never repayed.

I got his '70 SG much the same way.

i got mine from a band-mate. i bought it maybe two years ago. some guy named pete melonas painted his name on the top of it prior to our ownerships of this fine piece. i guess it adds character. second gen with the mid-switch, in good condition otherwise.

Never buy a tube amp based on what tubes are in it.  Tubes should be considered disposable. JMHO.

i got my 2000S w/ some band name stenciled on the top-i immediatly painted over it-
i thought it detracted and forced the amp to reject mojo
also, i prefer the sound of the redknob mid-switchers to the O riginals-thats just me tho'.(i use both)
