Sunn expression pedal
« on: March 19, 2007, 09:54:00 pm »
Anyone know what the function of the expression pedal is on the Sunn Keyboard amps?
Dose it control volume or tone? Are there schematics availiable anywhere if I want to make one?

Expression pedals typically control volume.

Generally, yes, volume is it for amp expression pedals.   Once you get into keyboard expression pedals, you can make them control anything!

Speaking of the Sunn keyboard amps, there's one on eBay right now that has a very funny looking jack for a footswitch on it...

Yes I have one that I robbed the transformer out of for my concert slave amp and I'm thinking  of buying this one! I use two different basses live and think this amp would work great as each one would have it's own volume and tone controls, there's a jack on the front for the expression pedal and I was wondering if I found one or made one that it might be an interesting effect for bass!
