: I recently brought my Beta Lead in for repairs and was told it would cost 300+ dollars to fix. Seeing as how I can't afford that... I'm going to try and fix it myself. I've been told that one of the output transistors was fried. Does anyone have any advice to offer?
: I've built a few little electronics projects (effects pedals and little relay circuts), but don't have any official training. Is this a hopeless cause? Is $350 a reasonable price to fix this thing???!!!?? (I only paid 100 for it!)
: Thanks a lot,

Hello.
The power transistors are easy to replace I have schematics and bias instructions for the 20-0166 power board. Use MJ15022 & MJ15023 transistors for replacements. Pretty simple amp to fix the last one I did for a freind I charged $40.00 for the same repair took me about 30 min. to do. I do not have the schematic for the preamp yet.
