« on: August 07, 2007, 09:41:54 pm »
Oh people of the Sunn...
Where can I get my hands on a few scraps of this material?!

I need it for two early 70's Sunn cabs I have that are 30x30x15.

Thanks!!!

Curt

Do you mean the 70's Fenderish rectangular pattern, or the sparkly early grill cloth?

The closest I've found is;
http://www.wendellfabrics.com/mellotone/flame.html
#SF7005
It's not exact but real close, here's a thread with a pic of a 2000S I re-did with it;

I'd kill for a source for the sparkly stuff, I don't think it exists!

 Hi guys,here's something to check out. Look for old Canadian made Traynor amps, the grill cloth is about as close as you can get to the old "sparkle" grill cloth and at 5 to 10 feet looks the same to me. I've got 2 sixties Solarus heads and 1 Solarus 2x 12" cab that I have to regrill and this is what I think I'm going to use. I'll post pics when they are done. Thanks, Mel.
