Beta Lead Head problem/question
« on: September 30, 2007, 06:22:07 pm »
Hi, i'm new on here and just got a used Sunn beta lead guitar head (new to me), also a first time Sunn owner! I played on a friends years ago and loved it.

I plugged it in when I received it (i didn't yet have speakers with the right rating so I simply plugged the power cord in to test it) and turned it on and the indicator light came on, all systems go, so I thought. Anyways, I plugged it in today and nothing happened. I checked the fuse, visually appeared OK, but I replaced it with same fuse anyway, still nothing. I don't remember this when I got it but is the on/off switch on these one that you press the on position then release, then repeat to power off? Or is it a switch with two postions. Maybe it's the switch??? Excuse my lack of technical lingo, I have very basic understanding of electronics.

Apologies if I posted in wrong section or if there is already a topic.

Truly appreciate any advice/help.

The on off switch is a 2 position rocker. 1 position on 1 position off if it is not a positive snap in one position to the other you might have found your problem????????????

Try getting a speaker to plug in.  Could be just that the switch light is dead?
