Used Amp

Hey, I just picked up a Sunn Spectrum I. I haven't been able to find it in any of my reference books and a google search hasn't produced any results either. Does anyone have any information about this amp. Works and sounds great, looks old. Adrian

It's a 2 X EL34 output, Dynaco Mk IV based tube amp rated for 40 watts. Same controls as a 100S (2 X KT88, 60 watts), but less power. Came paired with a 38" X 24" X 11.5" bass reflex cabinet loaded with a single JBL D130.
Only offered in 1966 & 1967 as far as I can tell.

One can always clean it up.

I suggest you check the power caps, or have a tech do it. If these go bad...you take out the power transformer and sometimes a few other things. I see a few places who are making the replacement single can units these days.
