Sunn Coliseum Keyboard Head
« on: April 09, 2008, 09:36:49 pm »
Guys,
Just looked at a Sunn Coliseum Keyboard Head.  It was in great shape - but the owner does not know anything about it.  Does anyone have any information about thos amp.
It was really cool - Had a master channel with volume, bass, mid, treble, then 4 inputs, each with its own volume and frequency responce dials.  It had a great reverb, that had a depth & a tone control.  The amp was wide.  Sounded very loud and clean.
Anybody have any other info on this amp?

Was it called Coliseum Keyboard, or what?

Long story short, if you can get a good deal on it, buy it! :p

What more do you want? The Coliseum series had power amps that ran about 300 watts into a 2 ohm load. Beyond that, you know what it looks like, and you know what it sounds like. My impression over the years is that, like most Sunn gear, the Coliseum amps were pretty reliable.
