Wanted: early numbered (1-10) Sunn knob
« on: May 26, 2008, 03:28:31 am »
I'm looking for one (or possibly two) of the early Sunn knobs as found on the 200s and early solid state concert series amps. the black ones with the numbers 1-10. if anyone has a source or wants to sell me one or two of them, i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks,
john

I'm also looking for knobs but I am looking for the 0-10 version.
I've seen the same knobs on non Sunn gear over the years so I wonder if there might be another resource yet discovered???

I'm currently trying to get a quote from the OEM who made the original Sunn 0-10 black knobs. Is there any interest out there?

Okay, I've been working on this and I have finished with tooling, etc for the first run of knobs. These are made in the USA by the original OEM that Sunn used. Unfortunately, as all small low volume ventures go - these knobs will be expensive (relative to the "Fender" 1-10 knobs).

See picture of first off tool sample here - NOTE the knob on the right is the sample and the one on the left is original (off of a black face Sunn Concert circa 1972).

Any updates on these knobs? I'm sure there are many Sunnophiles who could use them and would pay up!

I second that!  I might be getting a Sunn 2000S in the very near future, and would love to find proper knobs for it!
