Bass Amplifier Market

I'd post this in general discussion but no one seems to post there?

The 2006 NAMM Global Report http://www.namm.org/press-room/music-usa shows single unit amp retail sales for 2005 at $397M. What percentage of that number would be bass amplifiers? I've hear 10% but that seems low. Anybody?

$397M in amps?  What is that, three Mesa's and an Orange? :p

I think the best you can really hope for is speculation on the amount.  Maybe if you contact the person responsible for writing the article, he/she would have some knowledge(or access to said knowledge) of what percentage made up bass amp sales.
