Greetings fellow Sunn fans. One thing this site lacks is documentation of exactly what amps and speakers were available over the years. In the early years there was no label on any of the speaker cabinets and in 66, the heads weren't even labeled. So I thought it would be nice to start a thread to fill in the missing information. Please don't post a reply with a quote at the top and then add a short comment at the bottom. If you have an old catalog, go through it as I have done here and post what you find. I'm sure there will be questions, please start another thread or PM me.

1966 Smiley face amps (From real fuzzy impossible to read gifs)
All heads had top controls. Vol, bass, treb, hi boost sw, lo boost sw, power and standby sw. No polarity sw.

Sunn Product Guide early 1970 (Thanks to Edbass)

This Product Guide is apparently from early in the year. It contains the Dymos and the Solos. Note later in the year the name changed to Solos II. Lifetime Warranty is offered. Plain grill cloth on the Dymos and Concert PA columns. Sentura I comes with what seems to be an open back version of the Sonaro cabinet. The horn is gone from the 1000S. The Bullet tweeters are gone from the Coliseum Sound System. This flyer is the last mention of the Sentura I, Sentura II, Sonic I-40 and Colisuem Sound System.

1970 was a transitional year. The 40W EL34 amps were discontinued. Some amp names remained but the amps now had 6550s and power now rated at 80W. The 120W amps were now rated at 150W. Some amps were available with different speaker cabinets, many with choice of drivers. The new Coliseum Lead and Bass had limited speaker choices.

Because the pamphlet mentioned above includes the Coliseum Lead and Bass, I believe that one came out later in 1970.  I have another one, same design, colors, etc., but slightly different product line, and also dated 1970 so I figure it came out earlier in the year.

This earlier one has the Dymos (instead of the Solos), Solarus, Sentura I, Sceptre, Sentura II, 100S, 1000S and 1200S for guitar.

For bass, it has the Sonaro, Sonic I-40, Sorado, 200S and 2000S.

PA amps are the same as in the other pamphlet mentioned above: Concert Sound System (with 412 columns) and Coliseum Sound System (with 215 cabs combined with "golden sound lens" horns).

That really was a golden age of amplification.

Here's an interesting Sunn quirk; the '72 catalog shows the old 2000S model as being renamed as the 350B model.
However, last week I recapped and modified the power supply on one of my 2000S's, and low and behold what I found;
the pictured inspection sticker was on the chassis of the pictured amp...

I have a 190B and there is just a sticker on the dress panel that says something else underneath. I've seen chassis with and without holes for the rectifier(s). I think it's safe to assume not much was wasted in those days.

I'm missing the same year catalogs thru 1975. Did SUNN possibly NOT put out catalogs in 1971 and 1973 for some reason? Or maybe they printed very few those years and they are scarcer?

I have a "feel the sound of the 70's" Sunn Sound Systems catalog that was copy written in 1971 and a "Sunn 1972 Amp Catalog." It seems to me that when I acquired these on e-Bay, there were all kinds of Sunn Catalogs being offered.
