I submitted a decent offer and then, hours later, he ended the auction and changed the listing to $1300 starting bid...it had been $1300 Buy it Now with "submit offers."
He also changed some of his description and emailed me saying "did you know Norm Sundholm played bass for The Kingsmen?"
So, apparently, he either has found a handful of info or now thinks he has a 1954 Les Paul Goldtop or something.
I also asked for detail shots of what appears to be holes in the lower front grill and a horizontal tear across the face a quarter way down...and of any other major wear/holes (I see a few tolex holes.) Also asked if it still has the handle. He says he will NOT send more photos and avoided answering the handle questions and says he glued some holes. Says he doesn't want to use his real email to send photos, so extra pics "is out"?!? Uh...then why not post pics of the flaws in the EBAY listing?
I have a 2x15 guitar version of the paisley tolex cab (not as deep) and a bunch of the heads. My cab is cleaner and was half the price.
Let's see....pulling the listing to up the price...no shipping...wants top dollar but refusing additional pics...expensive auction ending Christmas Eve during a recession...and the winner has to drive thru snow and ice to Vermont to pick it up? Hmmmmmmmm.
Maybe Santa will deliver it the next day if someone wins?
