So is this the same thing as a Beta Lead head?

yes but you can pair it with any power source you want.  I've been trying to figure out which Sunn power amp was "designed" to be paired with it but no one seems to know.

actually i think the PL-20 is the beta BASS curcuit, while the PL-10 is the beta lead curcuit.

nope, other way around.....PL-20 is the lead, and the PB-10 is the bass.....the l for lead and b for bass.

oh yeah.   i overlooked the L and the B.   what a dummy i am sometimes.
