Some information about my concert +215B please?
« on: March 04, 2009, 07:01:02 pm »
Hi there !
This is my first post here, I just discovered that my amp, a concert bass and its 215B cab, seem to actually be really ol'stuff

I felt lucky to buy it used several years ago at a very low price (about $100, seen the head alone over $300 in Paris few month later  :-D).
I'm just curious about it, as it looks like it is... more than 10 years older than myself
It works flawlessly and I'm 99% happy with it, 1% being weight of that monster.

So, here it is (with my former cort curbow):

I could take more detailed pictures if anyone's interested. The serial numbers are A 16167 for the concert head and A10642 for the 215B cab. If anyone has some information about its actual age and so on, I'd love to hear from you !

Yup Yup . Awesome buy. I paid 275.00 for my complete Concert bass /215B rig, but drove almost 8 hours to pick it up, which driveing an economy mini- truck, was only about an extra 4o bucks. I later sold the Bass Concert heda for 325.00, so I got the cabinet for free in a sense.
I have a new thread , check it out. I have already procured two Jensen Alnico 50 watt 1960's vinatge speakers  to mount into my 215B. I'm a guitar player. This could be good. This could REALLY be good with  my '69 100S tube head. I am thinking it could definitly outdo my '59 Bassman replica .
If it falls flat on its face though , I'll stuff a couple of EV Force 15's  in the cabinet and deal it.

OH yes and by the way..this aint no Peavey, lol!  100% Solid Plywood construction, but forgive the Sunn gods for  for makeing  ONLY the  baffle ( not the baffle board front where the speakers are mounted, just the internal baffle which deflects the bass frequencies) out of Plywood! lol. An awesome cabinet with tone out the ass!
