More sunn-playing bands(if you care)
« on: February 01, 2000, 10:17:00 am »
Now that we're on the subject I think it is time to mention some excellent(underground) sunn-playing bands.
Here they are: Unwound  -coliseum bass&concert lead
Earth    -they have an album called
                        "sunn amps & smashed guitars"
              SunnO))) -yeah, it's their name.Really.
(early) Nirvana  -Kurt Cobain used to have a
                        Beta lead.
Kyuss  -Check one of their cd's &
                        you'll see a beautifull
                        concert bass.

They're really worth listening to.

Please don't forget the greatest Rock and Roll
band of all time: Mushmouth (circa 1993)

John Devoy - Beta Lead
Kelly Hogan - Coliseum 300

hi,

jepp, the sunn concert amp is on kyuss cover "blues of the red sun", great stuff. but i'm not quite shure of the bass sound on this recording. it sounds more like an ampeg - i konw that nick o. used an ampeg at qotsa.

greetings

The Deep Woods Band, with me playing bass, will be playing this Satruday, St Patrick's Day, at the Fox and Firkin in Corvallis, Oregon. I'll be using a second generation Model T with a couple of Joe's mods into a Fender-era Model 215 cabinet with JBL 2220 drivers. Should be adequate. It's a small room.
