Any bass players try the Monolith fuzz pedal? I think it's called Lodestone.

I've got a Monolith Lodestone that I use for bass.  It's a pretty epic pedal, based on a darlington pair circuit.  It makes small amps sound huge, and produces a very thick sound with lots of gain.  You can dial it down for conventional fuzz sounds, but it can produce some downright filth too.  Also worth noting is that it's 100% hand made... and I mean the case is cut by hand from sheet metal and pieces of recycled wood.  Even the circuit boards are made from scratch.  It's not just a circuit in a decorated hammond box, it's a very cool piece of work all the way around.  The Lodestone is the only fuzz I own, so take that for whatever it's worth.

i have: megalith-bluebeard-fuzz war-super collider-80s bigmuffs-80s rats-etc. they all move in & out of my rig-like the ebb & flow of the tides. my '85 rat gets the most use w/ my wall of Ts

Which version do you have? I actually just saw Young Widows the other night, and the bassist had a Rat clone with some extra pots and switches. Sounded amazing, too. I was thinking about investing in a clone as a back-up.

I think it's like having vintage Rat, turbo Rat, modern Rat and maybe 3 tube screamer OD too.

I finally had a chance to have a test run of the fuzzwar with bass in front of the beta bass / coliseum slave, kick ass heavy fuzz and no lost in the low end and some extra sustain, amazing!
Much better then the bass big muff.
So I went back to my Meathead clone for my fuzz tone on guitar, it opens up the Model T so good!

I've gotten further and further away from using fuzz on bass for a while now but I really want to try the Interstellar Overdriver they have.
But sadly, every overdrive or dirt pedal I try never stays on my board for long. My RAT has won against more expensive & modern boutique pedals.

D*A*M stomp boxes FTW! David A. Main is a fuzz genious - it's not only a hype. For stoner stuff Meathead would be the best choice (during the last Kyuss tour the guitar player was using one).

I'm very curoius about left side of Tectonic Shift. Looks like bottom heavy Super Fuzz variant.

a muff is a muff.  deep fuzz but a little muddy and not a lot of sonic diversity.  lodestone can dial in highs that are more musical, without losing the lows as much.  it'll do muff sounds but its got more diversity, backs off more naturally, and can get a lot gnarlier.  it's all subjective i suppose but i think it's a better sounding pedal.

Old Muffs are great on guitar, but I don't really dig them on bass. I'm really curious about Tectonic Shift. I've been waiting for some sort of Super Fuzz or Ace Tone FM-2 for bass for quite a while. Something like a Verellen Big Spider, but better
