Sonic 1 Amp - What's it worth?

While going through some old equipment, I found my old Sunn Sonic 1 Amp head - hooked it up and thought I was at a Bachman Turner Override concert! Does anyone know what this amp may be worth? What is the best way to sell it? It is in good condition and has a cover - pretty sure the tubes are original. I bought it in the late 60's or early 70's. Thanks for any advice.

Hard to say what its worth,if I recall someone once tried to sell a Sonic 1 head for 1250.00 on E-Bay.I don't think that they were able sell at that price.I bought my Sonic 1 with matching cabinet which had a D-140 for 250.00 from a widow who's husband had had passed away.Its was in VGC,since it had been in storage for sometime.

I've got a 1970 Sonic 1 head that I got off ebay for $70. It had some issues with it and the face plate had all rubbed off. I fixed the issues and rebuilt it complately, and made it into a 200S with new labels on the front, as that is essentially what it is anyway. As far as what its worth now, I have no idea, but I'm not inclined to sell it so it doesn't really matter to me. I would say though for your amp since it sound slike it is in nice shape is that it would be worth around what a nice 200S would be, so you may check ebay's completed listings and see if you see anything there to help you gauge the price.

Put it on eBay with no reserve, and you'll see exactly what it's worth.
That's probably the way to get top dollar for any old amp, I just saw a 2000S go for $1225, and a Sorado go for $800, a broken 100S go for $313 and a parts Sorado go for $342 right before Christmas. Seems like a good time to dump old Sunns on eBay!

Wow, I hadn't paid attention to the Sunn prices on ebay for awhile, but they seem to be bringing ever more! Good if I wanted to sell I guess....haha.
