The Enforcer is done!

I got about another 45 minutes on the Enforcer last night, high volume jamming. I tried the 60 watt mode, the 100 watt mode, channel A, channel B, hi gain input, low gain input, and combined. Favorite tone is A/B mixed in 100 watt mode, really, really, really heaving sounding and just pissed off haha. I was playing through my Orange PPC412 with Celeston V30s and I was getting this really deep, dark natural fuzz that was amazing.

60 watt mode - volume drop is very noticeable, not quite as fuzzy, more classic crunch which is nice but I probably won't use it much.

Didn't notice a whole lot of different between the high and low gain inputs, maybe just a tad of grit rolled back but not enough to really make much of a difference.

The amp is very loud, but no where as loud as my Orange RV100, which is stupid and even painful loud. About as loud as my Marshall DSL100. The EQ settings on each channel really let one sculpt the tone, but it really sounded best when everything was straight up 12 o'clock. I only used my Gibby LP with Burstbucker Pros and its a dark sounding guitar to begin with. At practice tomorrow night, I'll be using my Flying V to see how that works.

Thanks for the description, always wondered how the Enforcer would fare outside 'Nuge territory. Sounds like it was awesome. Quite an inventory you've got, as well. An RV100 and a Flying V AND an Enforcer.

I don't see how Ted really used this unless he ran them in 60 watt, low gain input mode on channel A which is pretty classic rock sounding and now that I think about it, very driven twin sounding. He is going to be at the Dallas Guitar Show next month and I am actually going to try and ask him if I can catch him - not sure if he is playing or doing the autograph thing. Sounds good there but just not my tone - I play in a stoner/doom band and ballsy, dark fuzz is the tone we go for and as mentioned, both channels combined has this really natural, organic gain that was deep, complex, and really heavy. Ranks up there in the top 5 tones I've ever heard personally live, was that cool. Going to use it at band practice tonight and see how it handles the full set. I was able to coax a pretty good clean on the B channel at a respectable volume (still pretty gritty, but coming out of Marshall and Orange, I'm used to that), so my gain channel will be A. I prefer B more I think but A still sounds great. I think the difference is where the gain is happening in the signal, Will H (the designer) wrote me a note about how the channels differ but I don't recall what it was at the moment.

If you can't tell, I really love this amp. I'd buy another if I could find one!

Well, the amp didn't do as well as I had hoped during practice last night -- it sounded just amazing, really good. But it's just not loud enough. We even turned down and it was getting lost in the mix and I even had it dimed. I'm running it through an Orange PPC412 which sounds great for all of my other amps. It is a 16ohm cab and I'm running it through the 8ohm out -- I supposed I could be getting some volume loss there. I'm going to have to take the amp with me to where I'm getting my cab from and just try it out with several cabs to make sure that's the issue. If not, I need to take it to my tech again and see why I'm not getting the kind of volume that a 100 watt head should be cranking out. I've read reviews of this amp from other people and they all say its the loudest amp they've ever heard!
