This guy has inspired me to post pics of my latest project. What do you guys think?

Classic!
...Like putting a Yugo badge on a classic muscle car.

What an idiot.

But come on guys, let's not bash Orange -- I am an Orange and Sunn lover, the only two brands I'll play anymore!

No one is bashing Orange. We're bashing an idiot who decided to put an Orange logo & symbol on a Sunn amp.

Doesn't sound to favorable to Orange to me.

I agree with the analogy, if it were perhaps like putting a Ferarri badge on a Lamborghini.... Dumb to do, yes..

I wouldn't necessarily consider that be bashing. I'm a huge fan of Orange, says so right in my profile. Vintage OR120, OR80, OR80 Combo ... boo-yeah.

Back to the topic at hand, the amp sold for $1,000. Not bad ...

I bought this head, turned out the guy lived a few blocks away from me. I do plan on restoring it, but it's hard finding red badges and 1 red knob.

Nice rot gut!!! It will probably be hard to find the proper replacement badge for it, and a red knob ... but keep your eyes out.

I drove down to LA and traded a Sound City 120 for a 2nd gen (mid select) Model T.. It was originally a red knob but the first guy who owned it (not the guy I got it from) thought it would be cool for some reason to take the red knobs off and put gray ones on. So i took the logo off the 412L cab (with the red O)))) and put it on, then bought these knobs http://cgi.ebay.com/Music-Man-Amp-Knob-Sunn-and-Mesa-Boogie_W0QQitemZ230459853848QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a87a4c18 (which were an exact match) and took a red sharpie to the centers. Worked like a damn Charm, can't even tell the difference.

The guy selling the Music Man / Sunn knobs is Dave Kipka <sp>.  He's a straight up guy and easy to work with.  I bought two sets from him...used 7 for my Sentura project and the other's will be used for my Solos II conversion project.  They are available in two font sized....larger for the MM amp and smaller for the Sunn amps.  If you need the smaller font email Dave.

Chicken head knobs are pretty cool, I think. But they do look out of place on the Model T. The grill doesn't look too bad really, but I'd rather have the original.
