WTB: 1 red knob for a model t
« on: April 08, 2010, 08:52:03 am »
I bought a model t yesterday and all the knobs are red except for one, so I was wondering if anyone had a spare laying around that they could sell.

Those are not the correct knobs for a Model T. They fit the plastic D shaped shafts like on the Alpha and Beta series amps.

maybe?

Whew! That's a lot of cheese for a piece of plastic. Although if it were me I'd probably do it, missing just one knob to make an amp "right" would cause me more anguish than $25.
As long as it's for sure the right knob, that is.

I've thought about buying that knob, but $25 is too much for the wrong kinda knob.

I even tried calling Rogan to get some knobs made, but the lady said the minimum order is 500pcs and then she said I need to get over the aesthetics of it since they don't make them anymore or so she says.

HA! I saw that too and thought "man, that's a lot of money for a knob" then also had the same thought "well... I'd probably get it if I needed it". I take it you're big on Aesthetics of Amps as well, Ed?

Not really, I've got some pretty obviously "well used" gear. I think it's a symmetry thing; I'm pretty sure that one knob not matching the rest would bother me more than $25 everytime I saw it.

Same here. If one knob looks MUCH WORSE than any of the others, it has to go!
