Actually, I am married, have a job and pay bills like everyone else. But anyways, I see where this thread is going, I'll just continue to get my amps the way I get them. Cheers  8-)

I'm an unrepentant capitalist, and I've always appreciated Ed speaking up for the free market. In Mike's defense though, many of us can understand the frustration associated with the skyrocketing prices of Sunn gear, and Mike's persistence paid off in the form of an essentially NOS 1st Gen Model T for under $2000.

Now that I'm in the position of selling gear, I'm thankful for the high prices, but, I have to admit, I've definitely encountered resistance from some forum members when I've asked for prices comparable to current Ebay prices. Again, I understand the frustration, but Sunn amps are like any other product: supply is relatively low, demand is growing, and the market adjusts accordingly.

Good deals are still out there, and I'd just encourage forum members to help each other find gear. Most of us watch Craigslist and Ebay religiously. If you know a forum member is looking for something, and you see that piece of gear somewhere, do what you can to help out. We'll all benefit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to anyone picking up bargains. (I wouldn't have been able to afford my 200S otherwise.)

And if someone wants to sell a piece of high-dollar Sunn gear at a price well below a market price, that is his or her choice. It's just not a choice I would make.

Not a choice I would make either.

Yeah I mean, I never intended this thread to be a "you HAVE to sell an amp for lower than you want"... It was just an offer for anyone who may not be selling one for a high amount, that's all. I know people want to recop and make money off their investment, but I also know there's a lot of dudes who have gotten amps for dirt cheap and see these high amounts flying around everywhere so the gears in the brain start moving and the lightbulb powers on. For example, the one that just sold for $2125, that guy made a killing off that amp. The reason being, he had it up for Buy It Now at $1350 or something like that, me being worried someone would snag it, put a bid in on it only to be extremely outbid by someone else (probably being one of the dudes from Sunn O)))) Well, regardless, I'll continue to buy 'em when I can.
