Does anyone know what speakers are in the 1 x 15 cabinet and how many watts they are rated for?

It depends on the speakers inside the cabinet. You should inspect them first and look for the specifications. Commonly, they are using 1000 to 2500 watts.

Sunn used various speakers over the years.  The old Sonic I-40 from 67-68 had a JBL D-140 speaker,  other times you could find a Vega.  Sunn also had it's own brand of speakers of various power handling ratings.  I guess you need to look at the Sunn Catalog Thread, find the year of your cabinet, and see if the particular speaker is listed.

I definitely agree with you my friend. You can look to that thread the speakers that fit on your cabinet. Just like what I did when I don't know what speakers are suitable to my cabinet.

And if you actually have the cabinet, open it up and look. I think that's a good idea anyway, as the original driver may have been replaced at some point.
