Loud "butt" sunn demonstration!
« on: June 08, 2010, 09:20:03 pm »
Here's a video of my band (fister) opening for eyehategod last night. I'm proud to say that we were the loudest band of the night!

By the way... thorlock and eyehategod both killed as well. nachtmystium had some major technical issues, but played great otherwise.

Side note: I blew my head during the 4th song of our set. FART happens. Luckily thorlocks bass player hooked me up with his concert bass, so I could finish the set.

Well done, mate. Love it!

On a related note, Mike Williams of EHG is responsible for the single greatest bit of stage banter I've ever witnessed. When I saw EHG a few years back, all the folks at the front of the venue were "singing" along not realizing that Mike was just grunting, howling, screaming, and bellowing the entire time. So, between songs, he looked down at the front row and said, "I've got all ya'll mutherf#%kers fooled. Ya'll actually think I'm sayin' words."

It was absurd and brilliant.

Yeah I'm going when they play in Chicago with Weekend Nachos. The guitarist of that band plays a reissue Model T through a 4x12, and a Concert Bass through a 2x15 on the other side of the stage.

A private message was sent to me saying that this is a family website and not to say the S word. Just a heads up for the potty mouths out there.

In reference to another thread where I complained about the concert bass. Here is the last song of our set from the same night, but I'm using a concert bass cranked up to 10. You can barely hear the bass. Unfortunately this particular song depends on the bass to drive it along.

Also... we messed up coming back into the end riff. That's not the amps fault. I blame downers for that one.
