You can safely run a cabinet with a higher ohm rating than your amp, but not the other way around.
You should be able run both cabinets off that one head with no trouble. The Coliseum heads were only rated down to 2 ohms.
Most of the time, speakers rated for a particular impedance actually measure lower than their rating... These are rated @ 4 ohms, but actually measure 2.x. I've got a pair of 15's that are rated at 8 ohms each, but actually measure 5.x each. Almost any cabinet that you check with an ohm meter will measure a lower impedance than it's rating.
I mapquested Louisville to St Louis and it looks like Grayville, IL is exactly halfway if you want to make this happen.
