Really nice Model T available in St. Louis
« on: September 03, 2010, 04:44:07 pm »
Stopped by my favorite local vintage store today and noticed they have dropped the price on a very nice Model T. It was $1,500 a couple of months ago but now they'll take $1,200. It is in super condition, looks really nice, and includes a road case. The "tested" sticker on the back did not have a  year (only "11/28") but the serial number is 38401.

If you're interested, call Killer Vintage at 314-647-7795. Tell 'em you heard about it on the Sunn forum.

I'd bet it's a first generation but don't know enough about the differences to be sure. It looks identical to the 1974 I owned for awhile but this one is in 'way better condition.

I can run by there later this week to snap a couple of photos if you want.

They hadn't posted it on their site, for which I gave them a boatload of grief. That's one reason I posted it here, because I am sure someone will want it. I'll try to get by there tomorrow to take a photo or two.

Killer Vintage ships stuff all the time so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'll check to see whether it has a medium selector.

I have good news and bad news.

First, I took some photos (see below) and this T is in great shape. The shop looked at the tube and pot date codes and have determined it's a 1973 unit. And they can ship to buyers in the United States and Canada.

The bad news is that the fellow in the shop today told me the price was back to $1,500. However, it IS in really good condition. So with that I'm going to shut up and let whatever happens happen.

Sorry to mislead the good folks on this forum.  :-(

As it says in the initial post ...

"If you're interested, call Killer Vintage at 314-647-7795. Tell 'em you heard about it on the Sunn forum."

Good luck!
