610's and 612's
« on: October 18, 2010, 10:24:31 pm »
Are the 6 driver cabs specifically matched for any amp? My 610 is rated at 6 ohms 200 watts, Im assuming they made the 12's at 6 ohms as well. This makes it hard to matched up with the majority of sunn amps which are either 2 or 4 ohms 100ish watts. Granted it works and still sounds great, I was just wondering if they ever had an amp that actually met those specs or if most people just through them in and set the amp to 4 ohms? Any info, as always, would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that a 6 ohm cab will work well with any amp that accepts between 4 and 8 ohms.

And three of them will work great with a 2 ohm head!

18 10's for a keyboard rig, sounds excessive and I totally want to try it.
