200S schematics
« on: November 18, 2010, 05:14:01 pm »
The schematics I have for the 200S show a couple of .25mfd caps coming off of the 6AN8 tube. I can find no trace of these caps in my '67 200S. Am I not looking in the right spot or what? Were things changed at some point? Are there different schematics for different years?

In looking through this forum I have seen mention of an "archive"
Where's that?

Go to the front end of the site: http://sunn.ampage.org/

Click on the "sunn museum" link at the top right. That will take you to a page from the old Sunn site with links to pictures of some Sunn products. Across the top of the page are links to some schematics and some of the old catalogs.

I can't comment on what may have been changed in your amp without looking at it. The .25uF caps Sunn used are typically the "Black Beauty" type with color code stripes like a resistor. They are positioned between the two terminal strips near the power tubes and the bias pot.
