Concert Bass Head
« on: September 16, 1999, 08:07:00 am »
Maybe somebody out there can give me a clue about my Concert bass head.  Contrary to the pictures I have seen on this site and descriptions of other Concert Bass heads, mine has no distortion control, and has an entirely black faceplate.  Some date codes point to 1979 as the probable date of construction.

It was kind of a nice starter amp for me, I paid $100 for it, and it seems to crank out some pretty good bass.  I will be replacing the fets on the input stage to try to reduce the noise.

For anyone interested I got schematics directly from Fender, they were $5.00.

Play bass, man!

Well I got an E-Mail from Conrad Sundholm and he said that there should be a sticker or a handwriten date on the inside of the Chasis.
