Slip Covers ?
« on: March 05, 2011, 01:09:10 pm »
Is anyone offering slip covers for the 200S top and bottom?
Not just dust covers, I want the kind like you used to get with Fender amps that were tough vinyl with a soft lining.

I recently got some for my 200S top and bottom from Tuki. I'm really happy, IIRC the person to talk to is Bob. They are a nice snug fit, I ended-up taking the rubber feet off the side of the cab to make it a little easier, plus they're really close to the corners and it seemed as though they may wear through. While my cab only has a handle on one side the cover has cut-outs on both sides, not a problem. There are no logos, I went with all black but I believe you can different piping options and what not.

I got Bob from Tuki covers to make me a padded slip cover for my Ampeg B-15N.  I've had it for years and its held up very well.  I had them custom make it for the handles on each side.  I've thought the same thing about getting some for my Sunn gear.  The only thing about the padded covers is when you take them off they don't fold up as easy as say a vinyl one.

I got a lined vinyl cover for my B15N from fliptops, and it was made by Tuki. Not the regular padded "Tuki" cover though, a heavy lined vinyl. Very nice, heavy vinyl with the classic amp cover look.

I have padded covers from LeCover Co. in suburban Chicago for most of my cabs (see first photo) but have a nice vinyl one like my 1971 originals for my second Sorado cab. (Black with white piping.) I obtained it from Custom Amp Covers in Rochester Hills, Mich. Go to http://store.amplifercovers.com. (I can't find the photo I took of the two covered cabs side by side but can take another one if you want.) Telephone is 248-650-2509.

LeCover can be reached at 800-338-3878. I have Lecover covers for my two 118V cabs, my 115V, and both 200S cabs and the 200S head.

I've also ordered covers from Custom Amp Covers and have been very pleased with their quality, price and turnaround time.  If you have a model that they have not made before they offer guidance on their website on how to measure your cabinet for a cover and will provide a quote to you based on your measurements.
