How many of you guys?
« on: March 10, 2011, 04:08:16 am »
Hello sunn friends. I was just wondering,
how many of you were members on stonerrock.com forum, especially in the jam room section, or is here anyone that was a member there too?

Peace!

I'm a member of this forum because I play classic rock with classic gear including Sunn gear.  I'm into Sunn the equipment and not Sunn the band.  Anyboy else?

My experience is the older you get the older someone has to be to be considered old in your mind.

Relatively speaking I guess I am older than some folks here but I'm sure that I'm also younger than some others.

If you're into droning, stoner rock then that's your choice but it's not my thing and it's not why I joined this on-line Sunn resource.

  Well,I guess i'm getting old,(mid 50's) although in my brain I'm still 18 !! LOL !!
I joined this forum because of my interest in Sunn amps, there really wasn't anyone locally who shared the same interest as me.As far as the Doom/Sludge/Stoner music goes,I believe to be current in the music buisness, you have to/should check out everything that is out there,at least that way you'll be able to have an honest opinion on that style of music.I have to be honest,I don't care for the music that much,(I wish they would play more)
but I do like the huge sound and the alternate deep baritone tunings, very interesting, plus a lot of different fuzz/distorted bass sounds which I find cool, actually copped a few that I use.

Old? Errol Flynn said it best:

"I may be too old for them, but they're never to young for me!"

Good ol' Errol, we don't have movie stars like that any more.

Stonah, don't despair, many folks on the forum enjoy and play heavier music than some of us "experienced" guys. While we may not actively partake of that style of music ourselves, we certainly don't begrudge anyone their own tastes and are glad for whatever brought them here to share our love of these great amplifiers from Tualatin, Ore.

I myself joined this forum looking for people with knowlage about amps and music equipment I'm not dumb on it by no means but this older stuff can be confusing from time to time and this place helped me with alkot of questions I had about my model t sunn in my mind is the surpreme amp of choice wish fender would get off there dead ass and bring sunn back to what it was if not better or at least sell it to someone who cares, as far as the stoner doom sludge scene I love several of the bands like the ones better that use sunn gear only thing I can't handle or yet understand is the band sunn there's 1 or 2 songs that I like by them but in my mind the rest is crap , I'm more of a fan of earth, pelican, sleep, shrinebuilderanspirit caravan and so on but anyway welcome to the forum
