Switch Dr / Voodooman Switches
« on: March 24, 2011, 01:00:49 pm »
Hey guys,

I was going to order up a switch for my beta lead since finding a real one hasn't been working out for me. I've seen some reproductions available from Switch Dr and Voodoo Man. I've read tons of threads bashing the Voodoo Man guy on various forums, so I am going to stay away from him unless he is the only option.

Does anyone have any experience with the Switch Dr. stuff?

it would plug into Channels A & B on the front instead of in the back though.

That looks cool. The bonus to the legit footswitch is having switchable reverb. Which would be tight.

Oh snap. You should look into getting that fixed man (if it's not too much $$). The reverb on the Beta is spooky as hell.

I would recommend that you be patient and keep an eye out for a vintage one on eBay.  I looked and looked for a vintage footswitch for my Coliseum 880 head for quite awhile, gave up and pieced something together using a new generic footswtich that worked just fine but I still wanted an original.  Fast forward less than a year and I see a vintage one sell on eBay for $30 while I'm looking at the photos of it! About a week later I buy one off of eBay for $45 and a week after that I buy a vintage Kustom footswitch for my son's vintage Kustom II Lead for $25.  :-D I don't know how long you've been looking but if you give it some time and keep actively looking for one you'll find one.

This one might be what you are looking for:

This guy has reposted the ad several times, so you can probably talk him down on the price.

Thanks for link. I'm a little sketched out buying something off of craigslist across the country though.

Alright, I got a Switch Dr. one. The graphics are a little goofy looking, but it arrived like 2 days after I ordered, which is rad.

Yes.

I won't be at my practice space for a few days, so it will be a while before I can report on how well  it works.

Hey Sunn Discussion Page,

I came across some information about voodooman switches, and wanted to share it. The business has a very bad reputation as shown on the Better Business Bureau website. Below is the link, if it will be allowed to be posted....

It has also come to my attention that the owner of voodooman switches is doing business as Black Label Switches. He doesn't have any complaints yet, that are posted, but the address is the same on both business reviews. Go to the addresses and check them out....
