Sunn Beta Bass amp
« on: May 19, 2011, 02:34:51 pm »
I could have it shipped but at 250$, I'm pushing my bid limit pretty far...I have to add at least a 100$ just for shipping.

I finally went for it, needed it to feed the coliseum slave and the price was in the market ranges for Beta Bass, so I won it for 310US$ and shipping is not too bad.

cool, I can't wait to ear the distorsion on it. :-o

shipping should be around a 100$ for fedex ground, Beloit, Wisconsin is not too far from Montreal and the beta is apparently only 26lbs.

yeah, I might use the beta distorsion for what I call, a «mid-dirt» for «quiet» parts, and then for the heavy part...SFT or Bass Big Muff or both...!

Remember the absolute key is the BOTH input. Use it to your advantage.

Also, I'm willing to bet you'll appreciate experimenting with this...
Run your line into Channel A's input.
Run a cable from the Channel A out on the back of the amp
into Channel B on the front of the amp

Get ready for some EXTRA THICK doom.

And then you can do all sorts of things like split your signal and use certain pedals for each channel.

oh yeah! I know I'm going to enjoy that! haha! thanks for the tips.

I like to have a clean and dirty signal for bass, keeps the low-end a lot better...can't wait to experiment on this!
