Old Tall Sunn 4x12 Cabs
« on: May 28, 2011, 10:59:20 pm »
Just picked these up and by the way just joined this Kool site and this is my first post. Any Info from anyone on these and would anyone know what head would go with this or are these maybe some kinda P.A Stacks. I'm hoping these are from the 70's. These sound soo good through any of my Axes. Real full and they break-up nicely. I'm pushing these through a 180watt Ashdown full tube Head and keeping it at 5 or below. Don't want to push-em too hard right now. Pulled 1 speaker and got these codes off of them
81-0112
87-7122

I have the same cabs and had the hardest time figuring out which jack on the back
is the input vs output. 2 parallel jacks with NO LABEL.

I think I figured it out but if anyone knows for sure please enlighten us

You could open it up and look, but probably the reason they aren't marked is because it doesn't matter which jack you use.
In all likelyhood the jacks are paralleled at the jack, like most PA cabinets.

Pop one open and check to be sure.
