Studio Lead for $150 - Good Buy?

I have an opportunity to buy a very clean 70's Studio Lead for $150 for my son.

I'm thinking this is a good deal but I'm looking for a second opinion.

Anybody have any advice for me?

Picked it up tonight for $135 after a bit of negotiation. Tolex and grill cloth is in decent condition. It is loud as heck for it's size and age. I think I got my money's worth and then some.

Can anyone out there tell me what kind of footswitch was used with it? It has two RCA jacks but I think only one should need to be shorted to switch the reverb.

So is the vibrato switch just not operational? I actually have one of the footswitches you describe for my Coliseum 880 head. Guess I'll have to give it a try. Thanks.

if your amp has virbrato, the yes, it works.  The only thing this pedal will do is switch between clean and distortion and boost when in the first channel, and add reverb and boost in the other channel.

After connecting a two button footswitch to it last night I found that although there are two RCA jacks on the amp only one of the two buttons on the footswitch is operational and it turns the reverb on and off.  Since the amp does not have vibrato or distortion or boost or a second channel I guess it make sense that the second switch does nothing.  What doesn't make any sense is why there are two RCA jacks on it to switch only one function.  Maybe this allowed Sunn to minimize the number of parts that they used for their builds since many of the other models of the time did have two functions (reverb & vibrato or distort  & boost) that could be switched via a two button footswitch.

Still very happy with the find for the $135 that it cost me.
