On eBay: Sunn Model T

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Rare-71-72-Sunn-Model-T-Amplifier-Amp-Head-/350484952470?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item519a87f596#ht_719wt_1252

Is it just me or is this one of the guys who thinks he has gold on his hands artificially driving up the price of these things?

There's one in nearly the exact same condition for sale (though I assume it's sold now) for a thousand dollars less (and even then it's overpriced).

How could the seller be artificially inflating the value? It's an open suction. I think the market value is only affected by someone actually buying and paying for an item; ambitious starting prices are just wistful thinking.

On the other hand, if it actually sells for that price or higher there really isn't anything artificial about the price either I suppose

That amp has been posted a number of times without selling, I believe it was up there about a year ago - didn't sell then, won't now. With this economy, he'll be lucky to get $1500 for it.

I wish! Regretfully it's more likely attributable to an iPhone "fat finger" episode.

Hey, at least the seller has tenacity; I'd give him an "A for effort". I would think the Model T owners here would be hoping somebody ponies up $2K plus. It would pretty much make everybody else's amp a little more valuable; at least for a minute or two...

Does anybody else think that it probably wasn't very smart for him to answer the high price question (see the questions and answers) by letting everybody know that he will re-list it later at a lower price if nobody buys it now!!!  I think that's pretty funny  LOL
