I bought a 200s today, used it tonight at a gig in place of my big ol' Orange head.
It sounded fine.
Now A days, your amp is just a stage monitor when you play in clubs. So, maybe these lower power amps will start to get even more popular again.
You can mike them or .... I bought a Radial DI that you can run off of your last speaker. You get all of the gooey tubey and speaker goo into a DI, which musically challenged sound guys prefer to a mike.
That said, I'm keeping the big iron Orange rig for outdoor jobs and such. It just kills.
Anyway, it's nice to have a Sunn tube head again to sit next to my Coliseum.
If you care, it's equiped with DynaClone transformers, which I guess kills the collector's value. But, it's a USEFUL amp, which is what I care about.
