The 71 year old lead singer for the iconic Troggs,
Reg Presley,
died Monday from cancer. He had performed till last year those super basic but cool hits.

R.I.P. Reg. It's always a shame when we loose one, Father Time is a bitch.
Here's some interesting trivia; The Troggs didn't write "Wild Thing", in fact it had already been released in 1965 by the original band that
did
. The Troggs version was actually a
cover
of this;

Thanks for sharing the trivia. I didn't know of the original release. The one I know best is from a Junior High band I was in by the name of
The Surfin' Birds,
circa 1965-1967.
