model t power tubes question

i'm sure its been asked before but i done a search and could not find it.

the question is on the vintage model t one can use 6550 or kt88 but what about kt77,kt66,6L6 ect........not sure if the trannys could handle such a change

The trannies are plenty robust enough to handle the them, but you would need to redesign the circuit to utilize those tubes. Amplifier circuits are designed around the tubes, and while the KT88 and 6550 are pretty much interchangeable, the others you mention are different animals from them entirely.

dont wanna go in a rewire a vintage amp so i will leave it be, thanks for the fast reply Edbass
