My Sunn Concert bass used for guitar
« on: September 17, 2013, 04:58:01 pm »
Is way more awesome than when I use it for bass. Absolutely loves a fuzz and 4x12 cab. Sounds very awesome through the sunn 215bh I have to match the head as well. It's the red knob version (150 watts@4ohms) and I run it through an 8 ohm cabinet(the 4x12), so it's still pretty incredible for being run at a lower wattage.

Anybody know how close the Concert Bass and Concert Lead heads are sound/schematic wise?
I know the Concert bass is an "all range" amplifier, so is it possible the Concert Lead is the same base circuit with added distortion channel and reverb? I was debating picking up a Concert Lead but if they are almost identical then there'd be no point in doing so.

Thanks! -nick

The power amps are the same. The preamps are similar, but I'm not sure if the eq frequencies are the same.

I can't find a Concert Lead schematic to compare to the Concert Bass.
