Converting a 100S cabinet to a 200S?

The cabinet had its debut this weekend. I added a Speakon connector to the cabinet  with 1/1- going to the bottom D140 and 2/2- going to the top one. The bottom driven by a Showman and the top by a Bandmaster, bass pickup and treble pickup respectively. It worked great, pretty much as I had hoped. Due to a case of gout (where did that come from? I barely drink beer and eat red meat maybe 2 or 3 times a month), I ended up sitting right in front of the cabinet. Definitely a visceral experience.

I will, when time and money permit, add the correct baffle to the top driver and probably put a new back on it (the current one has the hole for the crossover with a plate on which I put the Speakon and the original 1/4" jack, which I now fill with random cable.). But as it is, it works great. I do have a good theater gig coming up next month where I might actually try both 200S cabinets!

If I can ever find another 200S cab, I'll be doing the same thing with two cabs (and different heads, in the same power range as your Fenders).  Found a guy locally who's set up for wood working.  I'm thinking of talking with him after the holidays about building another cab.

Your 100S no longer has the cross-over, right?

Nope. No crossover. Just two 15s.
