1970's 215S 2x15 cab (magna vs. transducer speaker)
« on: November 17, 2001, 05:11:00 am »
Anyone know the difference between the 1970's 215s 2x15 cab sunn magna speakers vs the sun transducer speakers?  I own the 215s cab with the magnas, and have been pleased with the sound I am getting.  Not sure about the transducer speakers version of the same cab.  Magna's have a silver and what appears to be larger center.  Still wish I could find the 200s 2x15 cab with the JBL's though.

The Sunn Transducers were the leasrt expensive speaker Sunn used in their cabinets. They usually hade aluminum domes with vent holes. The Magna series were slightly heavier duty and recommemded for their bass cabinets. The frames were purple and had solid, black paper dust covers.
