Glue used for Sunn tolex?

Anbody know/remember that kind of adhesive was used to glue down Sunn tolex?  Or if you don't know, what adhesive do you guys prefer when you re-tolex?

I see this question all over the place. Surely the outlet supplying the tolex would know about the proper glue (and should sell it). If not, they're supplier, or the manufacturer would know. Try searching the web.
