Transistor Subsitution in Alpha 6
« on: May 24, 2001, 09:24:00 pm »
First of all ... Sunn Amps Rule ...

I picked up an  Alpha 6 PA that needs replacement output transistors.  Does anyone know where to score  2N3155 and MJ0954  transistors or subs?

Or I'm considering modifying the output section to use a different transistor pair.  Do you know if this mod is possible and/or has been done?

Hello:
We substituted MJ15022's and MJ15023's on the later boards. 3055's and 2955's were in the early boards and are available at Radio Shack. Sunn PN# 22-3155 = 2n 3055 generic.
