610L cabinet info?

I play a baratone guitar and was in the studio and couldn't get the sound I wanted.  My best friend gave me an old Sunn 610L cabinet to try and it worked perfectly. I was using a Peavey 5150 head.  I know the combination sounds strange, but the Sunn cabinet really handled the lows and kept them tight, not muddy. I don't even know if this is a guitar cab or base cab.  The serial #A17495.  If anyone has any information on this cabinet I would be very greatful.

I am thinking of getting a new 412 Sunn cabinet and was also wondering how well they handle lows.

i have a sunn 412 and it handles everything i put through it very well. i play metal mostly so i have a fair bit of low end going through mine too. i think its one of the best 412 cabinets around.

 I have a 610L cab and it sounds great with a fender roc pro 1000, but sounded like crap with a crate head, the 610L is a guitar cab NOT a bass cab and I figure mine to be late 70's or very early 80's vintage,I really think the 6 ohm cab ,instead of 4 or 8 has some effect on the sound output.
