Hey all, I've got a 2nd gen red knob Model T and have been curious about the Line Out jack on the back of it and was wondering how well it works. From my understanding, I should be able to just use a standard 1/4" cable to go from that to the input of one of my recording interfaces which would be great so that I could get a nice direct signal from the amp. Anybody have experience using this feature?

Cheers,

Kom

The Line Out of a Model T is just an attenuated version of the speaker output. You still MUST connect a speaker or dummy load, otherwise the amp will be damaged.

Ahh, cool! So as long as I keep my cab plugged in, I can just use the line out like I mentioned before?

Yup, should be fine. Of course, you won't get the frequency shaping effects of the speaker.

I was playing a show-stanosaur.com-and after i was all setup w/ sunn amps/cabs aplenty-the soundguy is fiddling behind one of my amps-what are you doing? I asked-he said hooking the line out to the P.A. for increased sound saturation-it worked great-never thought about using that jack.

I've used it, running it to a concert slave and from there to a second cabinet.
