For 300T owners- how do you set up channel 2 compared to 1?

HI,

I was wondering how 300T owners set up your channel 2? For channel 1 do you go by the book and bring the clip light to slightly flash red or do you have another method.

Plus I never use the compressor, do you and what situations warrant the use
