I will be in Chicago on Sept. 9th, but not for that show. I'll be at Crustfest seeing Phobia and Dropdead.

SLEEP last night was amazing.

I wouldn't say amazing, they hardly played any of their songs.

Yeah, I know. But Sleep are one of my favorite bands, seeing them play just those few songs when I thought a few months back I'd never get to see them ever play made them that more awesome to me.

And as soon as I get a chance when I'm back in SF I'm gonna go get a ticket for the 13th!

Sleep was killer last night. And Thrones played on some different stuff than I've seen before. Some silverface solid state deals, coliseum series maybe? I dunno. Sounded great whatever it was.

AAAAHHH! damn you! :-P

I wish I could be there to see Sleep once in my lifetime! :|

I saw Thrones once though and it was kick ass! I even had a chance to chat a bit with Joe Preston, a super nice guy and a legend to me!

i loved Joe's set lastnite. i usually see him in small venues and it was great to see him @ full force in a large room.
he went for the gutt  w/ total bass density-drum machine and backing tracks were mixed real low. he really concentrated on big ass bass sounds. and yes those are SUNN coliseums he always uses.
SLEEP was sensational. such great sound and Al said 'we're back where it all started'.
tonite should be even more killer w/ BlackCobra(local boys make good) opening.

I will be seeing Thrones for the third time in October. Joe Preston is hilarious. The stuff he says just cracks me up. Plus he's is really entertaining as far as music goes.
