Need help finding IC for Beta PreAmp
« on: July 10, 2000, 12:06:00 am »
Here's the next post in the continuing saga of my amp.  The story so far:
I've been trying to repair my Beta Lead for about two months now and it's
really starting to depress me.  I've fixed everything but the preamp now
and I think I only need one part, but I can't find it anywhere!

Can anyone help me find a MC14506BCP?  It's a "dual expandable and or invert
gate" according to the schematic.

Does anyone have a toasted Beta Lead or Beta preamp that's good for parts?
Help!!!  Please!!  I'm getting really depressed!  Thanks-

Jerry,

I emailed you  a fax I got from ON Semiconductor of the data sheet for the part.  Their support line told me there isn't a direct replacement any more. If it's being used in a logic circuit, you could substitute standard gates to kludge it together, or maybe there would be some kind of electronics surplus store that might be able to help you find a suitable replacement.  Sorry I can't be more help.
